In October 2007, visited
the city of such infamous phrases as “I am not a crook” and “Depends on what
the meaning of “is” is. My college
roommate was in Washington
DC on a 2 month assignment and
I went to leech off her free accommodations to visit.
Attended the National
Theatre to practice my spelling at the “The 25th Annual Putnam
County Spelling Bee” (Tony Award Winner).

Stopped by the Bureau of
Engraving and Printing to pick up a bag of money.
Visited the National Postal
Museum and learned about cute little stray dog “Owney”,
adopted as unofficial Rail Mail Mascot from 1888 to 1897 who traveled the
country on the trains protecting the mail bags.
Have you ever ridden a “Segway”? Totally
cool way to see the site along the National Mall from the White House to the
U.S. Capitol.

Saw the new WWII memorial
and Pandas at the National Zoo.
Visited several
Smithsonian’s…tried to put on Dorothy’s Red Shoes form the Wizard of Oz and
Abe Lincoln’s Tall Hat, but, Hillary would not let me. You would think Hillary would have better
things to do than guarding shoes at the Smithsonian!
