In October 2007, visited the city of such infamous phrases as “I am not a crook” and “Depends on what the meaning of “is” is.  My college roommate was in Washington DC on a 2 month assignment and I went to leech off her free accommodations to visit.

Attended the National Theatre to practice my spelling at the “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” (Tony Award Winner).  Is it potato or potatoe?

Stopped by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to pick up a bag of money.

Visited the National Postal Museum and learned about cute little stray dog “Owney”, adopted as unofficial Rail Mail Mascot from 1888 to 1897 who traveled the country on the trains protecting the mail bags.

Have you ever ridden a “Segway”?  Totally cool way to see the site along the National Mall from the White House to the U.S. Capitol.

Saw the new WWII memorial and Pandas at the National Zoo.

Visited several Smithsonian’s…tried to put on Dorothy’s Red Shoes form the Wizard of Oz and Abe Lincoln’s Tall Hat, but, Hillary would not let me.  You would think Hillary would have better things to do than guarding shoes at the Smithsonian!
