Ironman Vacation
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii October, 2002
On October 19, the
Ironman Triathlon World Championship was held in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Yes, my hometown.In November, NBC broadcast the all day event in 1.5 hours. Despite the fact that on race day I had waved and smiled at every TV camera in sight, Mom and I were no where to be seen on the coverage. It is hard to believe they would edit out those two cute chicks pictured on the right.
